Email Sheli’ach Tzibbur Lissin
Lissin is honored to serve CJC as Sheli’ach Tzibbur, or “Service Leader” alongside Rabbi Moshe Tom Heyn. Lissin has been singing since she popped out of the womb. Singing in her temple’s Youth Choir was her first taste of the transformation power of singing to the Divine in community. She believes in the power of song and singing together to uplift the spirit and create connections ~ which are vital to healing and balancing the injustices in the world.
Lissin brings song leading to her many projects and passions. Lissin has practiced Vibrational Healing for over 20 years, and offers Sound Healing sessions and experiences for individuals and groups. She has been studying Community Song Leading and looks forward to bringing people together in Song Circles on the Ocean. Lissin serves as an independent Life-Cycle Celebrant® and Officiant, and in addition to all that, she also presents Environmental Edutainment through circus, storytelling, magic and song as Director of EarthCapades Family Theater with her partner, Hearty.
Lissin is a long-time member of CJC, and first sang for the High Holy Days in 2015. She is grateful for the community for giving her a chance, and has felt supported by the community as she has evolved as a Spiritual Leader. Lissin lives in a magical community on the Ocean with Hearty and their teen, Kai, where she is grateful for plentiful quality time with nature.
