What else R’Moshe studying you can join in on?
Here’s what I’m studying with Avinoam on Monday mornings with Avinoam and on Tuesday evenings with Bill, Jeri and Maya. There is something to be gained from the idea that spirituality is nurtured not only by book learning but by a transmission of sorts, which was what happened in the time of the Baal Shem Tov and his students. Stories are good at conveying that truth. Hence, we are reading Souls on Fire: Portraits and Legends of Hasidic Masters, by Elie Wiesel. If you’d like to learn more, email R’Moshe.
There are also learning opportunities that CJC people organize, but are not officially sponsored by CJC
- North Peninsula Jewish Community Scholar-in-Residence: Rabbi David Ellenson “Shades of Grey: A Jewish Approach to Issues of Moral Complexity in Our Time”, March 9 – 12, 2023
- Coastside Torah Circle
- Wednesday mornings 6:30 study Maimonides’ Guide to the Perplexed (email Rabbi Moshe for the link or more information)
